Sandbox, "Nice Day Mommy!" and a yawn

I can handle a classroom of 23 sixth graders, a room full of ADHD first graders, can teach preschool, or even teach a gym full of teachers - - -but today was my first day left alone with my TWO children... I was nervous. But I survived, managed to have some fun, and even got some cleaning done! Olivia is doing great and passed the first test of sharing her Mommy with her a baby brother all day, no Daddy to distract her or fulfill her needs.

Aaron started filling the sandbox last weekend and Olivia got to play (in a corner) of it...in her grubby clothes (yes, those are snowmen on her sweatshirt), got all dirty and had a blast!

Today ended up being quite beautiful outside! After her nap, Olivia looked up at me and said, "Nice Day Mommy" and asked to go outside. How could you say no to this face?

The start of a yawn caught on film...

1st Music class, holding Aiden and eyes open!

Aaron took Olivia to her first music class today and she had a great time playing with the instruments, dancing and playing with the other kids. Mommy stayed home with Aiden and enjoyed having Sara, Stella, Ruby and baby Tate over for a visit. Daddy had the camera so Mommy didn't get to take any pictures of Aiden's new buddy Tate, who is a month old now!
But here are some pictures of Aiden with his eyes open:

Showing some skin...

Olivia actually wanted to put her jammies on like Aiden and hold him today!

It was really cute, but he was hungry so it didn't last long!

Hmmm, what is she thinking?!?!

Checking out an instrument at music class today.

Beautiful weather

We are having gorgeous weather - 90 yesterday and upper 60s today! We went for a walk along the river yesterday and a walk in Bellows Falls today. We made it to the railroad tracks just in time to see two trains go by! Olivia was so excited! Here are a few pictures to keep you busy...

"Our" waterfall.

Taking a break to look at the waterfall!
The river is so high right now!

Olivia loves her trike!

Saturday pictures

Aiden had a great first night home! He let Mommy and Daddy sleep for 4 hours straight and then gave us another two after a diaper change and a feeding! Today we spent a good amount of time outside on the porch watching Olivia play - he slept most of the day away, at least between feedings!

It was an absolutely beautiful day outside and we couldn't be happier to be home! It's so nice to have our little family home!

Here are a couple of pictures of our babies!

What is he thinking about?

Don't take my picture again!

The shirt says it all (thanks Aunt Kiley)!

The paper towel picture, of course.

I know that Kim will undoubtedly make this a better post when she gets home, but I know there are many eager relatives out there. All is well with baby, mother, sister, and father. All are tired. All are happy. Enjoy these few pictures, more to come. Welcome kiddo....we've missed you.

"Helping" Daddy open his presents.

Birthday kisses.

Trying to enjoy the "warm" weather before we get
our New England Spring Storm (they're saying this
one will be pretty bad).

Just waiting...

Olivia has a cold and we have snow, but no baby yet! He is due today, but apparently would rather stay right where he is. I can't blame him!

Tomorrow is Aaron's Birthday, so I'm sure I'll post more pictures soon. We're not sure what we're going to do yet, but we have presents, pie, and a yummy dinner planned so far. It's actually NOT supposed to rain or snow tomorrow, so we're hoping to get out and do something. It was hard to plan for the day not knowing if we'd have a newborn, be in the hospital, or just waiting for him to come! I'm a little nervous venturing too far away from my midwife...

Here are a few pictures to make you smile!
