Getting ready for Santa!

You have to start with the tree first!

Tree Hunting

Aiden rides in style
We know it may be a bit early, but we're quite excited to have Christmas at home this year, so we already have our tree! (Although we will miss our families VERY much, Aaron's excited to NOT travel, I'm excited to do all the Vermont Christmas things we miss out on every year, and Olivia's excited to come downstairs and see what Santa left her!)
We went on Sunday to find and cut down our tree, and now it's just waiting to be decorated! Aaron had to cut a bunch off the bottom so Aiden won't eat it, and we put some presents under it already! Olivia can't wait for Santa to come to add more! First, we need to find a stocking for Aiden!
Going down the path to the trees!
Waiting on the cart

Watching Daddy cut it down

Daddy's Trumpet

Daddy found his trumpet in the attic and Olivia thought it was pretty cool! She loves musical instruments! We wonder what she'll choose to play...

Hello!

Snow!

Hailee's Birthday Party

Hailee turned the Big 2 last week!
Olivia helped her celebrate!

Olivia's New Passion

Music Instruments! The drum is the new favorite.
She "plays" the piano too! Not as well as Daddy does, though...
But now she wants a violin, flute, guitar, saxophone and a trumpet!

Trick-or-Treat!

We had a great time Trick-or-Treating this year! Olivia really got the hang of it and kept wanting to go on and on, to "more houses, please!" She said, "Trick-or-Treat" and "thank you, happy Halloween" to everyone. When she saw a scary costume, she said, "Oh boo to you!" She was very sweet too, and asked for a piece of candy for Aiden too, since he was busy sleeping in Aaron's arms. She knew she had to share her candy with Daddy, so I'm sure she didn't plan on sharing with Aiden too! She walked almost the entire time and was determined to fill up her pumpkin and Aiden's. Mission accomplished - we have so much candy, we don't know what to do with it all. We didn't even get any kids at our house - we know it's not really worth it to walk up our big hill!
Here are a few pictures of our Halloween night:

Our little fairy (sans wings, they were still in the car from the parade we went to earlier that day) and our little pumpkin.
It's hard to get them both to smile AND look at the camera at the same time.
He loves her glitter shoes.
Almost time to go!
He didn't last long...

Walking down the road to candy land.

Waiting for someone to answer the door!

"Ain't No Party Like a Pumpkin Party"

Our annual Pumpkin Party at Coger's Sugarhouse. It was too cold to dress up appropriately, but Olivia did have on her wings and held on tightly to her glow-in-the-dark wand from Grandma. She had a good time, despite the frigid temperature and CHILLY wind! Hard to get good pictures at night, with children who won't hold still, and freezing hands to press the button!
Here they are on Halloween, waiting for the time to go Trick-or-Treating.

Carving Pumpkins

Playing in the Leaves!

First, you have to rake a pile
Then you jump in the pile
Then you cover yourself with the pile!
(Can you see her hand?)
