Aiden Update

Aiden is 6 months (and a few days) old now! He's sitting up by himself, has two bottom teeth, rolls all over the place and is "talking" like crazy! He can do everything that they have on the list for "Normal Development: 6 to 7 Months". We had his 6 month appointment last Wednesday where he had four shots and one oral vaccine. Poor baby! Here are his updated stats:

Weight - 19 pounds and 3.3 ounces! Yes, that is about what Olivia weighed at 12 months...but it only puts him in the 75th percentile! Crazy chart.
Height - 28 1/8 inch which is the 95th percentile. He's quite tall!
Head Circumference - Big like Daddy - 17 1/2 inches, 90th %tile
Here are a few pictures of our goofy guy:

Can you see his teeth? Nope, because he won't let me take a picture of them.
Do notice all the drool, though! Yup, it's teething time. Fun for all.

Olivia on the Bridge

Olivia is very fond of bridges, which Daddy adores, of course. She calls the bridge over the Connecticut River by our house, "my bridge", loves covered bridges, and has to go over every bridge she possibly can. Here are a couple of pictures from a small foot bridge we found on our walk last weekend:
This is the Cornish Windsor Bridge, the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States and the longest two-span covered bridge in the world. Olivia really likes going across this bridge, of course.
This is "Olivia's Bridge". I took this picture in May, but she saw that I was putting pictures of bridges on the blog and asked me to put a picture of "her bridge" on here. She even said please, so I couldn't say no!

Keene Pumpkin Festival, 2007!

We love October because it brings Autumn, Birthdays, our Anniversary, Halloween and the Pumpkin Festival in Keene, New Hampshire! Olivia and Aiden got dressed up in costumes and marched in the parade. Olivia had a blast opening up just about every pumpkin she could get her hands on, just to take a peek inside. Aiden had fun watching all the crazy people go by and smiling at anyone who would look his way. We stayed until it got dark outside so we could take another look at all the pumpkins with their candles glowing. Our kids are rock stars - didn't really nap all day, didn't complain once and stayed up until late in the evening! Everyone slept in on Sunday, which is rare in this house!
Taking a peek inside every pumpkin she could reach.

Hello, Little Pumpkin Man!

Walking in the Cosume Parade.

Fall is Here!

You can't tell from this picture, but it was raining leaves! It was so beautiful!Looking out over the water.
We saw a very strange looking duck on this walk. Olivia found it first and shouted, "Pato!" (which means duck in Spanish.)
Always a happy boy on a walk.

Growing up quickly

Aiden has officially passed the 6 month mark! He's rolling all over the place - sometimes clockwise, sometimes counterclockwise, sometimes forward, always on his tummy, and usually towards someone or something he wants to grab and stuff in his mouth. He doesn't like his rice cereal and has no interest in letting me feed him. He has been sleeping in his crib a lot more these days, but still prefers to be in Mommy and Daddy's bed. He can sit by himself, but not quite straight up, and plays like a madman in his saucer and Jump Up. He loves toys and eating books and has finally noticed the cat! He's had his eye on the dog for quite awhile now, but somehow, the cat hasn't caught his attention until recently. His next doctor's appointment is on Wednesday, so we'll see how much he weighs and how long he is now! I'm guessing he has passed the 20 pound mark...
Here are a couple of pictures of our 6-months-and-2-days-old boy, and our 2-years, 7-months and 2-weeks-old girl. (Check out Aiden's first ouchy on his forehead.)

Lake Sunapee, NH

We went to Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire yesterday and although it was REALLY chilly, we managed to have a great time together! Unfortunately, it seems that everything decided to close for the season, so we didn't get to check much out, but we definitely plan on going back once everything opens back up in the Spring. Yes, we're already looking forward to winter being over and it hasn't even started!
Here are a few pictures of our day by the lake.

Pumpkin Pickin'

We always go to our favorite place for outside plants and pumpkins on Saturday, Coger's Sugarhouse Gardens. My favorite part, of course, was taking pictures of the kids on the pumpkins! Olivia's favorite parts are the pond and all the doggies running around! There are about 5 terriers and they are all related. She loves to chase them and every once and awhile, they will stop and let her pet them. I miss being a kid.
Next weekend is our favorite weekend in New England, the Pumpkin Festival! Their costumes are almost ready and Olivia is jazzed for the costume parade! Keep your fingers crossed for warm and sunny weather! So far, it looks good.

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

That's one big pumpkin!

We told her that if she could carry it to the car, she could have it!
