Aiden had his 4 month doctor appointment and the stats are in:
Weight: 16 pounds and 15 ounces - 95th %tile
Length: 26 3/8 inches - 75th %tile
Overall Health: Excellent!
He had three shots and one oral vaccine (yuck) and did a great job, while I cried along with him. It's not fair! He's chunky with a good amount of rolls, and he weighs much more than Olivia did at this age, but he is just about as long as she was!
Olivia continues to be a great Big Sister! She has quite an imagination these days - she even has an imaginary friend named Leo. She tells us that Leo is a girl, she's bigger than Delilah but smaller than Cassidy and Leo is red. She also has an imaginary dog named TallySue who is blue and black with a red leash and collar. As long as she doesn't tie them up in the laundry room (like her cousin Lauren used to tie up her imaginary friends...) then we're OK with it!
Her vocabulary is phenomenal; some new words she has recently added are: ridiculous, nervous, and perhaps. She talks like she's 8 but looks like she's not even two! People are constantly asking us how old she is and then they are very surprised when we say 2 1/2!

Burlington Fun
We spent most of yesterday in Burlington. We had a great time playing by the water, listening to good music and shopping. Here are a couple of pictures from our day!
Looking across the lake to New York.
Mommy and her kids.
Playing by the water with Daddy.
Grace Potter, Aiden's first concert!
Goofy little face!
The Cornish Fair
It was finally time for the Cornish Fair! We headed out early Friday afternoon and had a great time! Olivia saw lots of animals, like cows, sheep and horses! We sat through our first ever Horse Pull (yup, small town fairs are great) and rode the Merry-Go-Round, ate greasy fair food, saw lots of Mommy's former students, and had a great time late into the night. Olivia and Aiden are ROCK STARS and stayed awake until we got home after 10.Don't most kids fall asleep in cars? Not ours, not ever.

Riding the Merry-Go-Round
Just goofing around at the fair.
Entertaining the masses under the show tent.

This and That
Just a few things I've been meaning to add to the blog...
Olivia's Big Girl Bed
She's been sleeping in it for months, but I've neglected to put a picture on the blog for those who have yet to see it in person! Now that I look at the picture, it's not really a good one, but it will do for now. She usually has about 15 Lovies on it and it's rarely made, but every so often we go through the process of making it together. Somehow, with all the things to do in the day, making the bed just doesn't seem that important to me.
Olivia's Second Best Friend, Delilah
Grandma Sunflowers have bloomed!
Aiden is getting so big. He's almost sitting up by himself and is in size 3 diapers! (Olivia was only in size 4s for about two months before she was potty trained!) He just started sleeping in his crib (I cried) and is really playing with toys now. He sits in the saucer for a bit each day now, too! Time flies when they are this age.
When we went to meet Aaron's mom, Karen, in Boston, her flight was delayed for about 4 hours. We passed the time at a zoo we found in Massachusetts. Olivia just loves looking at animals! It wasn't a very good zoo - no giraffes, elephants, or even zebras - but it was a nice way to spend the morning waiting for a delayed airplane to land!
Olivia, Aiden and Mommy went on a picnic in Thetford this week! We went back to Mud Pond Road, where Aaron and I first lived in Vermont before buying our house. We brought Cassidy to the pond and she went right in! Olivia thought it was hilarious. Aiden loves being outside and watched us run from Cassidy as she tried to shake off the water on us. We had a good time learning that wood floats, rocks sink, and Cassidy doesn't smell good when she's wet. We even went up to our old house but there was a car in the driveway so we took a quick glance and drove back down the steep driveway. I can still picture Aaron's Jeep stuck at the bottom in the snow and hear him swearing under his breath as he climbed up to our house. Such good memories, such good memories...

A Trip to Boston

The Boston Children's Museum
On Sunday we went to the Children's Museum of Boston. Olivia had a great time! There were lots of activities that were young enough for Olivia (and Aaron, too) but I think conducting the orchestra was one of the highlights for her. They have a conductor's baton and you can actually make the musicians on the screen play faster or slower. Once she figured out how it worked, she loved it!

A Day at the Beach
We spent all day Sunday at Plymouth State Park in Vermont! It was a beautiful day and Olivia had fun playing on the playground and in the water! Aiden spent the day sleeping and rolling around on a blanket. He's just such a happy baby!
