Happy 2nd Birthday Olivia!

Happy 2nd Birthday Olivia!

Olivia’s Birthday weekend started out with lots of snow and chilly temperatures. That didn’t stop Olivia from having fun turning the big t-w-o! We can’t believe she is two already. She’s such a little person now! Her big present was a new bed, a "Big Girl Bed"! She has started taking naps on the mattress that we set up on the ground, complete with her new bedding. She slept in it last night until about 3:00, so that’s a start! She’s pretty excited about it!
We spent all morning playing at the Montshire Museum, then out to lunch, to pick up some balloons, and then the pet store to pick out new fish. Olivia loves going to the pet store and looking at the "huge fish" and turtles. She opened lots of presents this morning and saved a few for the evening. She still has to eat her cake (and we made cookies) so those pictures will have to be added later.

Lately, she’s really been talking up a storm! We can understand most of what she says, but some of it still sounds like she’s speaking another language and she gets quite frustrated when we don’t know exactly what she’s saying. We compiled a list of all the words she can say now, those we actually do understand. As of today we have about 240, but keep thinking of words to add! She speaks in short sentences and really has a mind of her own. Her favorite things to do are color, play outside, play with the dog and cat, read books, draw on her chalk board, and of course, dance! She even reads to us. She’s really excited about what’s growing in Mommy’s belly and likes to “cuddle Mommy’s belly,” as she says. She can say the baby’s name, but she’s keeping that secret well.
Olivia is getting to be quite the picky eater and we’ve decided that it’s Mommy’s fault; what goes around comes around! I certainly deserve it for all the years of agony I put my parents through! She does have her favorite foods, but there’s no way she’s having mac-n-cheese three meals a day! We’re thankful that she still loves her fruit, veggies, yogurt and cheese.
We’re looking forward to some warmer weather, but winter decided to show up late and fierce so we’re not holding our breath. We will be happy as long as Old Man Winter goes away and lets it warm up in time for Baby Boy’s arrival and all his visitors!
Here are a few pictures of the now two-year-old Olivia Ann (and none of Mommy crying since she now has a two-year-old)! I’m sure I’ll add more this week, so stay tuned!

Still in her pjs, opening presents!

Aaron calls this her "Abbey Road picture".
